How to use Cloud500?

Do you want to know how S&P500 components are doing today? In the past hour? Or in the past 30 minutes? If your answer is yes, Cloud500 is designed for you.

First of all, all stocks are sorted descending by the change percentage in chosen time interval.

  • Background:
    The bottom 250 stocks have white background;
  • Change %:
    Only the top 25 and bottom 25 stocks are showing the change %. All the rest only showing in mouseover window;
  • Font Size:
    The further on the top or bottom, the bigger the font size, therefore, the smallest fonts are the stocks in the middle.
  • Color:
    If "Change %" is positive, the color is green. The deeper the green color, the bigger change % gain;
    If "Change %" is negative, the color is red. The deeper the red color, the bigger change % loss;

Second, how do we get those numbers?

We update our database every 5 minutes, and we compare stock price now with stock price 5 minutes ago, 15 minutes ago, 30 minutes ago, 45 minutes ago, 60 minutes ago price and get the percentage change. Therefore, our 30-minutes, 45-minutes, 60-minutes, and day change percentage are less than 5 minutes delayed. If you are lucky to catch our updating time, you get real-time data.

Third, let's see some sample clouds.

Do you think there is something wrong? Not really. This cloud only happens in the morning. All those green symbols in the bottom have no change rate yet, because those stocks opened late!.
Technology was really strong. Lots of stocks with white background, which are among the bottom 250, are in green.
On the day, the whole market was terrible. Dow -2%, Nasdaq almost -3%, and financials are no exception. Lots of non-white background stocks, among the top 250, are in red, even GS was among the top 25 was in red(loser). Lots of are in bloody red!

We hope that help you to understand our cloud. Still get questions? Contact Us.
